The UAE Olympic House in Paris, opened during the 2024 Olympic Games, was a symbolic venue where sport, culture, and diplomacy intertwined.
Located near Place de la Concorde, this house offered visitors a complete immersion into the Emirati world through eight thematic rooms, showcasing both traditional and modern aspects of the United Arab Emirates’ culture. Visitors could explore interactive exhibitions, taste Emirati culinary specialties, and participate in augmented reality games inspired by traditional Emirati games.
Mansoor Alhammami, president of La Concorde Magazine, played a key role in organizing this unique space. The Olympic House not only highlighted Emirati hospitality but also served as a meeting point for athletes, officials, and visitors, thereby strengthening ties between France and the UAE. This initiative also promoted sport and innovation on an international stage, in alignment with the Olympic values.
The event also emphasized the importance of sports diplomacy, with key figures such as Noora Al Kaabi, Minister of State, and Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee, participating. During a roundtable titled “Beyond the Games: Olympics and Public Diplomacy in Shaping National Identity” they highlighted the role of sport in bringing nations together and promoting the Olympic values of excellence, respect, and friendship. The UAE Olympic House initiative further strengthened cultural ties and showcased the UAE’s efforts in sports development and international cooperation.
