The Dubai Global Power City Index : Top Spot in 2 Regions secured

The United Arab Emirates continues its meteoric rise, and this time, it’s the city of Dubai that’s in the spotlight. The world-class metropolis is growing and improving in all areas. Dubai has been ranked as the top city in the Middle East and North Africa regions within the Global Power City Index, confirming the city’s progress and the futuristic and ambitious vision of its leadership.

The Global City Power Index: Extensive Scoring Criteria

This first-place ranking within the index is a source of pride for Emirati leaders. Regarding the overall rankings, Dubai now holds the eleventh position.

The Global City Power Index, published by the Institute for Urban Strategies, which is part of the Japanese entity The Mori Memorial Foundation, evaluates cities based on six criteria: Economy, Research and Development, Cultural Interaction, Livability, Environment, and Accessibility.

A city’s ability to attract people, businesses, and capital determines its ranking. The top four spots are held by the same cities as last year: London, New York, Tokyo, and Paris.

Dubai: One of the Best Global Metropolises

Dubai has risen three places compared to last year’s overall rankings and has climbed one place in the cultural interaction category, placing it in fourth position.

This is a pleasing result for Dubai’s leadership, which aims to make the city the best place in the world to live, visit, and work.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum notes that this improvement reflects the city leaders’ ambitions.

The Emirati city will continue to forge ahead through the grace of God and the ingenuity of its leaders and their long-term vision. It’s only a matter of time before Dubai reaches the podium of this ranking.
